Gosling Lake
Our Gosling Lake outpost camp is nestled among mature spruce and pine trees, just a short distance up from the lake’s beautiful moss-covered rocks. The outpost sits 115 feet from shore and faces east. Stunning sunrises are enjoyed from the front porch or deck. This camp is solar-powered and is well suited for 4-8 people, although up to 10 may be accommodated comfortably. A minimum group size of 4 people is needed for booking this camp. Recent renovations to this outpost include the addition of windows to the porch area and an expanded front deck. The phone system was upgraded in 2007.
The lake system is over 3000 acres of dark stained water and features an abundance of walleye and northern pike as well as perch. There is also a popular portage lake, Longneck, that is easily accessible via a 300 yard walk. There are separate boats and motors for use on Longneck lake. The largest walleyes caught on Gosling lake each year approach the 30 inch mark with the largest in 2005 measuring 29 inches and in 2007 measuring 30 inches. Northerns caught here regularly measure in the 40 inch range with the largest for 2004 at 48 inches and 44 inches in 2006! Boating equipment at this camp includes 4-14 foot Lund boats with 8 hp Yamaha motors.
