Master Angler Club
Are you a MASTER ANGLER?
At Due North Outpost Camps, there’s no shortage of trophy northern and walleye, thanks to our long-standing conservation fishing policy! We ask that all trophy catches are released and that no fish fly out from the lake at the end of your stay. But since no fishing trip would be complete without a feast of fresh walleye, our guests are welcome to eat within the slot size during their stay. With this policy and your cooperation, we can guarantee fantastic fishing for many years to come! Guests who are successful in landing a trophy northern or walleye are recognized as “Master Anglers”.
The province of Ontario does not participate in a Master Angler Program like some other provinces in Canada do. We at Due North Outpost Camps felt that our guests were missing out on the opportunity to be rewarded for participating in a conservation program which promotes the healthy sustainability of our fish population. In 2005, we instituted our own MASTER ANGLER program for our guests. The purpose of the club is to see just how healthy the fisheries are at our outposts and be able to reward anglers who go above and beyond the call of duty. To become a member of this exclusive club an angler has to catch a 24 inch plus walleye or a 36 inch plus northern. Our Master Angler program has seen many people achieve this goal and continues to confirm that conservation fishing works!
